Les Petits Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois
(The Little Singers of Paris)

Les Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois, widely regarded as one of the world's premier choirs, has been displaying its choral repertoire throughout the world and it has celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2006.
It’s rather known in English as “The Little Singers of the Wooden Cross” in Asia, and they always provide the audience with the best performance which boys’ choir can present. They are recognized as the “top three boys choir of the world” along with Vienna Boy’s Choir, Tolzer Knabenchor; but they are most known for singing a cappella with heavenly voices of finest boy sopranos.
Under the direction of Veronique Thomassin, the 24-member group is set to present a variety of songs which include classical, French chansons and folk songs of the world.
The founding of Les Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois in 1906, when boys’ choirs were no longer seen in cathedrals, sparked the rebirth of boy choral groups in the country. Since then, the choir has performed throughout the world.
French composer Darius Milhaud has described the choir as “a miracle of faith, tenacity, enthusiasm and talent.”
The singers, who range from 9 years to 14 years old, live and go to school in Paris.
